Volunteering with one or several of your favorite organizations is a great way to not only give back to the community, but also gives you a “feel good” change. You want to volunteer, but where do you get started? There are so many organizations that are in dire need of volunteers, so how do you choose? - Determine the length of time that you are able to dedicate to volunteering. Can you volunteer one hour a week or would you rather spend a week volunteering internationally? Look at your schedule and determine the amount of time you have available to volunteer.
- Start small. Volunteer with one organization and determine if you enjoy your time with the organization, the gradually increase your time commitment.
